Koiviston Auto strengthens its position in Tampere by acquiring local public traffic operator Pirkanmaan Tilausliikenne Oy

CapMan Infra’s portfolio company Koiviston Auto strengthens its position in Tampere by acquiring local public traffic operator Pirkanmaan Tilausliikenne Oy. The acquisition adds EUR 15 million in revenue, c. 200 employees and 86 buses to Koiviston Auto Group and provides a platform to accelerate electrification also in Tampere.

The Koiviston Auto Group and Pertti Johansson have signed an agreement concerning the sale of Pirkanmaan Tilausliikenne Oy’s shares to Koiviston Auto Group on April 20th 2022. The acquisition is expected to close during May 2022.

Pirkanmaan Tilausliikenne is the largest public traffic operator in the Tampere region. The company has approximately 200 employees, 86 buses and reached a revenue of EUR 15 million in 2021. Over 95% of the revenue comes from contract based local traffic.

“Koiviston Auto Group is focused on sustainable transportation alternatives by driving the green shift of urban bus transportation. With Pirkanmaan Tilausliikenne the group is able to accelerate electrification in the Tampere region. An investment in a new bus depot is also being planned to enable the company’s excellent growth story to continue”, comments CapMan Infra’s Eero Hautaniemi, board member at Koiviston Auto Group.

All existing employees of Pirkanmaan Tilausliikenne will keep their current positions and transfer to become part of the Koiviston Auto Group as part of the acquisition. The acquisition has no immediate effect on Pirkanmaan Tilausliikenne’s existing customers or services provided.

CapMan Infra acquired the Koiviston Auto Group in early 2022.
