Together for a more hopeful future – charity event raises funds for children and youth

29/11/2024

The Tukikummit Foundation, managed by CapMan, organized the “Together for a Better Future” charity event on November 27, 2024, aimed at supporting children and youth. The event brought together participants to hear impactful speeches and support an important cause.

This event, held for the ninth time, continued the tradition of directing its proceeds in full to the Tukikummit Foundation. Since the inception of the event in 2014, the funds raised through it have reached over 15,000 children and youth in Finland, enabling hope and new opportunities.

This year’s event featured inspiring speeches from prominent experts. The founder of the Tukikummit Foundation, President Sauli Niinistö, opened the event by emphasizing the importance of hope in our society today and the importance of sharing positive messages, especially during challenging times. Security expert Jarno Limnéll continued with a speech about the sustaining forces of community and the individual during tough times.

Pata Degermann shared his thoughts on finding new perspectives when facing life’s challenges, and how pursuing dreams can be a resource amidst difficulties. On behalf of Silo AI, Peter Sarlin offered insights on how future opportunities can unfold, particularly with the help of technology. He considered how technology can support work done for the benefit of children and youth and create new solutions for their lives and well-being.

“As basic living costs increase, the role of organizations like Tukikummit as bearers of hope and security grows. Without financial support, many families face tough decisions, such as giving up children’s recreational opportunities, which can, in the worst case, increase the risk of falling outside our society. However, it is encouraging to see that the desire to help remains strong. We are deeply grateful to all the companies and individuals in the CapMan network who have committed to supporting a better future for the youth,” says Joakim Frimodig, Chairman of the CapMan Board and Chairman of the Tukikummit Foundation.

“The power of working together is immense, and this is concretely evident in this charity event, now held for the ninth time. I am extremely grateful that so many companies and individuals want to participate in this important work, which supports young people and their future. With donations, we can bring hope and opportunities to young people whose life situations require special support. Our joint effort not only affects the lives of individuals but also builds a more equitable and safer world for our children,” says Emilia Åberg, CEO of the Tukikummit Foundation, while warmly thanking all the companies and individuals involved.

The Tukikummit Foundation works to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to participate in hobbies and experience a sense of belonging. The foundation strives to ensure that no young person is left out or alone.

Warm thanks to all the companies and partners who participated in the fundraising:
