Per Sköld, M.Sc. (Econ.), Head of Nordic operations of Medtronic, one of the world’s leading medical technology companies, will transfer to CapMan Life Science team as Partner effective 1 April 2008. CapMan Life Science’s most recent investments have centred on healthcare services providers that complement the team’s portfolio of medtech companies.
Per Sköld will transfer to CapMan from one of the world’s leading medical technology company Medtronic, where he had headed Nordic operations. Previously Mr Sköld had held executive positions at General Electrics Medical Systems following GE’s acquisition of ProAct Medical AB, a medtech company founded by Mr Sköld and his partners, in 2001.

Lots of new investments and an experienced team

Examples of the team’s most recent investments include Swedish private healthcare service provider Nacka Närsjukhus Proxima AB, Finnish healthcare ICT company Mawell Oy and Norwegian provider of medical imaging services Curato AS. The members of the team with for development of the current portfolio are Senior Partner Jan Lundahl, Partner Björn Nordenvall and Partner Johan Bennarsten, who both are doctors.
