The CapMan Real Estate I fund managed by CapMan has leased from the City of Helsinki an undeveloped site located in the Haaga district of Helsinki and applied for building permission for the office building to be constructed on the site. The main tenant of the building will be OneMed Oy, Finland’s leading provider of healthcare and laboratory products. Construction is scheduled to start during the coming autumn.
The office building is due to be completed by the end of 2009 and will contain a leasable area of some 3,000 m², most of which has been leased to OneMed under a long-term leasing contract. The real estate development knowhow and project expertise of CapMan’s real estate investment team will be utilised in the project.
The investment focus of CapMan Real Estate I, CapMan’s first real estate investment fund, is on commercial properties in the greater Helsinki area, while the CapMan RE II fund focuses on property development in Finland, and the CapMan Hotels RE Ky fund invests in hotel properties, especially in Finland and Sweden.
