Today, Roschier employs a total of some 270 people, of whom 70 are based in Stockholm. Simonsen has represented numerous Finnish and international private equity investors in the M&A field since 1993. Prior to working for Roschier, Simonsen was Managing Partner at Castrén & Snellman.

“Lennart Simonsen is an experienced manager, and Roschier has grown into an international partnership during his time with the company. He has proved himself an innovative and successful leader of an expert organisation. Lennart has in-depth knowledge of the business world and has been involved in numerous M&A transactions involving private equity investors. I believe that, under Lennart, CapMan will be able to build on the work that we have done in recent years to develop our business very effectively. I look forward to working with him,” says CapMan’s current CEO, Heikki Westerlund, who will be proposed as the new Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors at the AGM to be held on 30 March 2010.

“I am very much looking forward to the challenge of leading the listed company CapMan,” says Lennart Simonsen. “I hope that my some 10 years of experience in heading up an expert organisation as Managing Partner will provide a strong foundation for my work at CapMan. I have followed CapMan’s activities and growth for a long time, and believe that CapMan has succeeded in creating a strong presence as a private equity investor in the Nordic region and Russia, and that its personnel represent some of the best in the field. Working with the kind of talented people that CapMan has is always very inspiring.”
