CapMan Plc Stock Exchange Release – 12 May 2014 at 15.00 p.m. EEST

CapMan completes exit from Espira

Funds managed by CapMan have completed the exit from Espira Gruppen AS as announced on 1 April 2014. CapMan funds sold their holdings to the Swedish education company AcadeMedia.

The transaction had a positive impact on CapMan Group’s result for January-March 2014 through fair value changes from CapMan’s own fund investments. The transaction contributes some EUR 5 million in cash flow to CapMan Group. The exit will not change CapMan’s outlook estimate for 2014 given on 8 May 2014. CapMan estimates its earnings per share to improve significantly from the level achieved in 2013 primarily due to increasing operating profit.

Espira is one of the largest providers of pre-school services in Norway. The majority of the investment was made from CapMan Buyout VIII fund, which initially invested in Espira in 2008.

For additional details about the deal, please see the stock exchange release published on 1 April 2014.
