Changes in CapMan Plc’s Management Group, CapMan Buyout X fund closed at EUR 245 million

Markus Sjöholm has been nominated as Head of CapMan Buyout and member of CapMan Plc’s Management Group. Markus Sjöholm is taking over from Kai Jordahl, who has resigned from his position at CapMan. Dan Johnson has been nominated as Deputy Head of CapMan Buyout. Fundraising for the CapMan Buyout X fund has been finalised and the fund has been closed at EUR 245 million.

Markus Sjöholm, age 42, M.Sc. (Econ.), LLM, has been Deputy Head of CapMan Buyout since 2010 and member of the Buyout investment team since 1996. He has been instrumental in a number of CapMan Buyout investments, and a key contributor to CapMan Buyout’s position as a leading Nordic mid-cap investor.

“I am excited by this new challenge. Our latest fund CapMan Buyout X has had an excellent start and has already made seven investments, mainly in Finland and Sweden. In order to further strengthen our position in these markets, we are focusing resources in Helsinki and Stockholm and closing our office in Oslo,” states Markus Sjöholm, Senior Partner and Head of CapMan Buyout.

Dan Johnson, age 49, MBA, has been appointed as Deputy Head of CapMan Buyout, based in Stockholm. Dan has been Partner at CapMan Buyout since 2013 and has an extensive background in building and transforming businesses in the Nordic region and globally. Prior to CapMan Dan has served as Partner at FSN Capital Partners and Boston Consulting Group, among others.

The changes will be effective as of today.

Moreover, we received commitments from new investor groups and also new regions, for example from Southeast Asia.
