CapMan Plc Stock Exchange Release 4 May 2017 at 11.32 a.m. EEST
Joakim Frimodig to become Interim CEO and Deputy CEO
Joakim Frimodig, member of CapMan’s Management Group, has been appointed CapMan Plc’s Interim CEO as of 4 May 2017. He will become Deputy CEO following the appointment of a full-time CEO. Heikki Westerlund informed in March that he will step down as CEO.
“CapMan has significant ongoing growth and development projects, for example infrastructure and growth investments, which require full attention and sufficient management resources. The role of the Interim CEO is to lead and develop the company with purpose also throughout the ongoing recruitment process for a full-time CEO. Joakim has been involved in building CapMan’s next growth phase and is therefore the right person to execute an already well-honed strategy,” says Andreas Tallberg, Chairman of CapMan’s Board of Directors.
Frimodig (1978, BA, Oxon) has been responsible for strategic growth initiatives at CapMan since April 2016. He joined CapMan from Summa Capital, where he worked since 2004, most recently as Deputy Managing Partner. Prior to that, he served as an advisor for Alfred Berg and ABN Amro Corporate Finance. He has advised numerous Finnish and international companies in M&A and financing transactions over the course of his career.
“Over the past year, I have assumed more responsibility for creating and executing CapMan’s strategy and as Interim CEO I can continue this work. As a listed company, CapMan is strong and I have a clear vision of the direction in which I would like to develop the company together with our capable team,” comments Joakim Frimodig, CapMan’s new Interim CEO.
