CapMan Nordic Real Estate II acquires a mixed-use residential and commercial property in central Copenhagen
CapMan Nordic Real Estate II -fund has bought a mixed-use property in Toldbodgade in central Copenhagen from Elf Ejendomme A/S.
“Toldbodgade” is a 6-story building and has a total of 1,895 sqm of space with roughly 75% of residential and 25% of commercial area. The location of the property is excellent, nearby the Amalienborg castle, Nyhavn and the waterfront. The seller is a Danish property development company, Elf Ejendomme A/S, and the transaction was done in co-operation with Keystone Investment Management.
“Toldbodgade is a great continuation of our investment strategy of acquiring residential properties that are centrally located in Copenhagen. The property is in very good condition. There are options to develop and modernize the current apartments, and the commercial space on the ground floor could potentially be converted into apartments,” explains Torsten Bjerregaard, Managing Partner at CapMan Real Estate.
The acquisition of Toldbodgade is CapMan Nordic Real Estate II’s fourth acquisition following closing of the EUR 425 million fund raising in August this year. The focus of the fund is to acquire mainly office, retail and residential properties located in established submarkets of major Nordic cities.
