On 4 June, CapMan Real Estate hosted an event to celebrate the halfway point in the construction of Scandinavia’s largest integrated solar roof, located in Stationsparken, Glostrup, Copenhagen. The event brought together project partners, local stakeholders and municipal representatives to mark this important milestone.
A CapMan-led green initiative
The solar roof is part of CapMan Real Estate’s broader ambition to transform real estate assets into more sustainable and future-proof investments. The project is being developed in close collaboration with Hovedstadens Bygningsentreprise (main contractor), WERK Arkitekter, Solar Lightning Consultants, CR El & Teknik, and Solartag, which has designed and delivered the the solar panels.
The Municipality of Glostrup has welcomed the project, which aligns with their climate commitments and long-term sustainability goals.

Celebrating progress and partnerships
The event featured speeches from:
- Peter Gill, Head of CapMan Real Estate Denmark
- Søren Enemark, Chairman of the Environment, Technology, and Property Committee at Glostrup Municipality
- Rasmus Lindhardt, CEO of Hovedstadens Bygningsentreprise
In his remarks, Søren Enemark highlighted the value of collaboration between the public and private sectors:
“This investment is the result of a joint effort, where businesses and the municipality work together to create change. We are not just building solar panels, we are building long-term solutions that support our climate commitments.”
The celebration included a solar panel showcase, a drone video presentation, and a food truck, creating a festive and engaging atmosphere. As tradition dictates, the rejsegilde also served to honour the skilled workers whose efforts have brought the project this far.

Project status: halfway there
The solar roof spans 7,500 square metres, and as of June 2025, half of the roof surface has been completed. The panels used in the project are manufactured in Europe, supporting both sustainability and regional supply chains.
Once completed, the roof will feature approximately 10,500 active integrated solar panels, making it the largest of its kind in Scandinavia. The project is being carried out in seven stages, with steady progress toward full completion.
Looking ahead
This project is a concrete example of how private investment, strong partnerships, and local support can drive meaningful climate action. CapMan Real Estate continues to lead the way in sustainable real estate development—combining long-term value creation with environmental responsibility.
A warm thank you to all partners, collaborators, and especially the craftsmen whose work is powering this transformation.
