Nominations at CapMan Real Estate
Mika Matikainen, Kalle Myllymäki, and Pirjo Ojanperä have been nominated as Partners and Juhani Erke as Investment Director at CapMan.
Mika Matikainen, M.Sc. (Econ.), M.Soc.Sc., (b.1975), joined CapMan in 2006 and is currently responsible for the operations of CapMan Real Estate funds. Matikainen is also a member of CapMan Plc’s Management Group. He has played a key role in establishing the CapMan Hotels RE fund and acquiring its portfolio, in addition to investment activities related to CapMan’s other real estate funds. At CapMan, Matikainen has participated in the acquisition of 46 properties. He previously worked for UBS Investment Bank in London.
Kalle Myllymäki, M.Sc. (Econ.), B.Sc. (Arch.), (b.1975), joined CapMan in 2005 as part of the Realprojekti acquisition and is currently responsible for the operations of the CapMan Real Estate and CapMan RE II funds. He has had an active role in over 40 real estate acquisitions at CapMan and participated in numerous real estate development projects. Myllymäki has worked at Realprojekti since 2001. Prior to joining CapMan, Myllymäki was a design manager and project engineer at AW-Insto Oy.
Pirjo Ojanperä, M.Sc. (Agriculture and Forestry), (b.1958), joined CapMan in 2008 and has been Head of Real Estate Hotel Fund team and had an active role in numerous real estate development projects. She previously worked as Regional Director of Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, Finland.
Juhani Erke, M.Sc. (Eng.), (b.1972), joined CapMan in 2005 as part of the Realprojekti acquisition. Erke has had an important role in developing the real estate portfolio and is currently responsible for the Willa Shopping Centre development in Hyvinkää and the Turun Centrum Shopping Centre redevelopment project. Erke has worked at Realprojekti since 2003. Prior to joining CapMan, Erke was a project engineer at Projektikonsultit Oy.
CapMan manages real estate funds with approximately EUR 1.7 billion in total capital. The CapMan Real Estate I fund invests in commercial properties in Greater Helsinki, the CapMan RE II fund in commercial properties and development projects elsewhere in Finland, and the CapMan Hotels RE fund in hotel properties, primarily in Finland. CapMan established its first project-specific real estate fund in November 2010.
