Mari Simula appointed Head of Fund Investor Relations and a member of the Management Group – changes in CapMan Plc’s Management Group

Mari Simula has been appointed Head of Fund Investor Relations at CapMan and a member of CapMan Plc’s Management Group. Jerome Bouix steps down from the Management Group, while focusing accelerating the growth of Scala Fund Advisory. Scala’s incorporation will be completed during 2017 and Bouix will continue as Managing Director of this subsidiary. The changes come into force starting from 5 December 2017.

Simula has worked in several roles at CapMan since 2007 and most recently as a Partner at Scala Fund Advisory. Mari has long experience from private equity fundraising and fund investor relations, as well as business development and strategy projects. In the new role, Simula will be responsible for group-level fundraising and fund investor relations.

“I am excited about this new role. It has been a pleasure working at CapMan for over ten years, and it is great to be now part of our competent Management Group and build a new, stronger CapMan. I would like to thank CapMan’s management for their trust and confidence in me, and the Scala team for the good co-operation over the years,” comments Mari Simula Head of Fund Investor Relations and a new member of Management Group at CapMan.

Scala Fund Advisory has been part of CapMan’s services business since 2016. Scala offers advisory services to best in class private equity fund managers and professional investors globally. Scala has offices in London, Stockholm and Helsinki.

“The development of Scala has been good during the recent years. We have completed several mandates and the demand for Scala’s fund raising and advisory services has remained strong both in North America and in Europe. With the incorporation of Scala we are able to accelerate the growth of the business and it also helps us to clarify our position in the markets. I would also like to congratulate my previous team member for this excellent appointment,” says Jerome Bouix, Managing Partner at Scala Fund Advisory.

“With the new arrangement announced today we want to improve our customer service, support our investment teams in their investor relations and fundraising processes and clarify the responsibilities between CapMan’s own fundraising and Scala. Mari is most welcome to CapMan’s Management Group. Mari has strong experience from private equity investor relations and with this appointment, her experience can be now utilized on a group level. Scala will act more independently in the future and thus, will be able to exploit the international potential of the business. I want to thank Jerome for his effort on these 12 years in CapMan’s Management Group, during which time he has been a central person for CapMan’s clientele,” says Joakim Frimodig, CapMan’s CEO.
